I study Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at Duke University. I work with Greg Crawford and Terry Furey, studying DNase hypersensitivity differences among primates, and among human cell-types.

Here are the major projects I'm currently working on:

ENCODE Project
DNase-Seq Analysis
Summer 2011

I am working with Boris Lenhard, Terry Furey, and Greg Crawford to understand human celltype differences in DNase hypersensitivity. We compare high-throughput sequencing experiments across over 100 human cell types. This project is part of the NHGRI-funded ENCODE project, the successor to the Human Genome Project.

DNase-Seq Analysis
Fall 2008
For my PhD, I have been working with Terry Furey and Greg Crawford on comparing DNaseI Hypersensitivity among primates, and across human cell types. I work closely with Yoichiro Shibata, a guru molecular biologist, to analyze our DNase-seq and digital gene expression data. I have pioneered methods for comparing hypersensitivity across samples.
